The slip toy has been made in a village Bogorodskoye of the Moscow area since 13 century of a waste of lime logs. There are images of Russian fairy tales: kern, bears, fox, hare in a basis of Bogorodskaya toy. The manner of Bogorodsky carvers is sharp, but exact. The foreman cuts " at one fling" by one movement, cutting only part of a tree, then only slightly specifies details. The carver works without the sketches, without any preparing of a tree, using a special Bogorodsky knife terminating triangular bevel and a chisel.
