The Tver toy has the special place in the part of toys. The base of this toy is turning. The turning tradition is in the depth of the centuries. Turned wood vessels as showed the excavations are known at Tver region from 10-11th centuries. At the first there was the primitive sash lathe of the variable movement with string wind on it's axis, then with the belt pulley and fly-wheel worked at the horse-drawn or at falling water (principle of mill's wheel). But the attacked utility, aspiration to use the thing at purpose hadn't to blunt the people's sense too unusual. The mischievous and fervent Tver toy was born out of waste from wood dishes and vessels (the classic models of peasant's art). Cooperation of the techniques of burning out and painting is the technological peculiarity of this toy. Burning out of contour lines make the drawing more contrast and strengthening of color sound. The wood toy is painted by gouache take on special decorativeness and brightness under some lines of lacquer.
